May Newsletter

As we wind down the year, it is time to reflect on the life cycle of a teacher.  We spend so much time curating the learning communities and at the end of May we all say goodbye.  We begin the year establishing rapport and routines and together we experience the excitements, the difficulties, and the growth.  All the while, we know will end the year never having the same group of young people, as we are all forever changing and growing.  Some children and families we know we may never see again, while others, we know will return in just a few short months.  So whether you are leaving or returning, we hope that this year has provided you with some opportunities to change that will prepare you for the next steps in life.

To our graduates – congratulations on your achievement. Your Montessori Academy team wishes you all the best as you move to your new schools and look forward to all that you will accomplish with the challenges that await you.  We also look forward to hearing from the graduates in the future and we hope that each of them will have gained a firm foundation for their education while at Montessori Academy. We know that many of you will return to visit, as many of our alumni do each year, in the next few years.  If this is your last child to leave Montessori Academy, your MA team would like to thank you for your support and for the guidance that you have provided for your child(ren).

For those families who will be returning for the 2022-2023 school year, the school year will begin on Tuesday September 6, 2022.  Families with students enrolled in Kindergarten thru sixth grade will receive school supply lists in July. Class placements for our incoming first-grade students will be made over the summer and you will receive a message from them in August welcoming you to their class.

Thank you for a supportive (not without bumps and challenges) year as a principle, and know that I have learned and grown, and am ready to do it again soon!

On behalf of the staff, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you all a safe and happy summer. We cannot wait to hear about your amazing adventures over the summer as we return to school.

With Gratitude,

Randi Ruzicka

Principal

Teacher Appreciation

We welcome you to help acknowledge our wonderful teaching teams during National Teacher Appreciation Week May 2nd-6th!

Our appreciation committee has planned the following; however, you may participate in any manner in which you choose:

Monday: Bring a plant or flower (real or drawn) to your teachers. We are also looking for volunteers to help with breakfast and coffee!

Tuesday: Return the all about my teacher to sheet to help compile their book.

Wednesday: Something from their favorites list!

Thursday: Wear your teachers favorites

Friday: School Supply Drive (We have a list of teacher wants)

*We are looking for donations for our snack cart and drink station (i.e.; bubbly water, iced tea, water, fresh fruit/veggies, and other snacks)

Thanks for your support in honoring our teachers!
