January 2020

Message from the Principal

Dear Montessori Academy Families;

Happy New Year!  I do hope each one of you had some time to enjoy friends and family this Winter Break/Holiday Season.  While some of you and most children think Winter Break is not long enough, I know I am energized and ready to get back to routine.

I cannot thank you enough for all the kind words, cards, and gifts bestowed upon my family and I.  We thoroughly enjoyed all the homemade goodies (popcorn, granola, cranberry bliss bars, and more)!  The homemade cards and family picture cards were most enjoyable to see and enjoy!  Finally, those special sentiments, gift cards, olive oil, tea, and coffee gifts are being enjoyed well into the New Year.  I am truly blessed to work with such wonderful families, friends, and peers.

February marks my 20th year with our schools and the impact it has made on my life is difficult to define.  The role each and every family, child, or peer regardless of how long, or how brief, how positive, or negative, how ordinary, or extraordinary, has shaped my world for the better.  I have learned many lessons, some hard, shown me paths I could have taken, guided me through ebbs and flows of life, and made an irrevocable impact on who I am as a person, parent, school leader, and educator.  I am so lucky and thankful I have had these 20 years to have people in my life that have been a constant light as well as those I only have crossed paths with briefly like a shooting star.

I will continue to sub this month in Room 2 as we onboard and train our newest team member Zoe Stone.  If you need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out via email, phone call, or stop by Room 2.  The lovely ladies, Ms. Randi and Ms. Jordan along with Mr. Justin will continue to support those immediate needs in the front office.

Sending you peace and joy into 2020 and beyond.
