2019 March Newsletters

A Note From Our Principal,

February was filled not only with rain and snow but also learning and fun!  In anticipation of spring, our teachers are busy planning meaningful learning activities that will help students gain an appreciation for the changing seasons. In order to make the most of the next few months we will be spending extra time outdoors so our students can interact with nature. Please make sure your child has weather appropriate outerwear for school each day.

In February our teachers were able to sit down and learn and plan together.   In addition to learning more about ways to positively support children and families in our care, we were also encouraged to look at new ways to improve our impact.   One teacher introduced us to the ColorCycle project ran by Crayola.   In this initiative, we would work together with other schools to help recycle and reduce the plastic wastes in schools.   We are happy to invite your family to participate with us in this.   If you have any markers you would like to throw away, bring them to us!   We will re-purpose or ship them to Crayola in care of the ColorCycle project.

Sincerely,

Lila Afoa
