Our Curriculum Home / Programs / Our Curriculum The Montessori Method Montessori is special because it helps young children grow both in their minds and in their character. The method was developed by Dr. Maria Montessori in the early 1900s, and is used in schools all around the world. It focuses on helping children become independent, respectful, and responsible learners. Instead of teachers leading the class as a whole throughout the day, our students are able to choose their work and explore what interests them. This child-centered approach makes learning exciting and meaningful for every student. By giving them the freedom to explore and learn at their own pace, they develop a love for learning that lasts a lifetime. This approach sets them up for success, not just in preschool, but in all parts of their lives. Learn More Montessori Curriculum Subject Areas: Language Our students start learning to write and read by using fun, hands-on tools designed just for them. As they grow, they practice writing clearly and reading smoothly to understand what they read. They learn new words, read stories, and even learn to look up information. Math In Montessori Math, learning is like a journey, with each step building on the last. Our students use hands-on tools to learn about size, numbers, and putting things in order. They don’t just memorize. They learn to think through problems. As they get older, they start to understand more complex ideas like addition, shapes, and even simple algebra and logic. Science Our students explore by looking, touching, and asking questions. They learn to observe, gather information, and find answers through experiments. They get to explore plants, animals, weather, rocks, and stars. Science helps them understand the world around them and why things work the way they do Cultural Cultural studies help our students learn about the world and its people. They study geography to learn about places and history to learn about different times. They also explore different countries, cultures, and ancient civilizations, as well as important parts of American history. This helps them respect and understand people who are different from them. Arts & Enrichment Our students enjoy expressing themselves and learning about creativity. They explore music, painting, acting, and dancing. This helps them appreciate beauty and discover their own unique ways to be creative. Sensorial Sensorial activities help children develop their senses. They play with shapes, colors, and patterns to sharpen their ability to see and feel differences. These skills build a strong foundation for learning math and science later on. Practical Life In Practical Life, our students learn to take care of themselves and their surroundings. They practice dressing, tying shoes, and washing hands, which builds independence and fine motor skills. As they grow, they also start helping in their community, learning to be responsible and caring.
