Dear Families,
April is right around the corner, and we have an exciting month ahead! From celebrating poetry and Earth Day to special school events, there’s so much to look forward to. Here’s what’s coming up:
April is National Poetry Month!
To celebrate, we’ll be sharing a poem over the loudspeaker at the end of the school day multiple times a week. We can’t wait to share inspiring words with our students!
Art to Remember – Orders Due April 9
We are excited to once again partner with Art to Remember! This program allows you to purchase special keepsakes featuring your child’s artwork. Forms are being sent home, and orders placed by April 9 will arrive in time for Mother’s Day—a perfect gift for loved ones!
School Picture Days – April 14 & 15
Mark your calendars! Individual school pictures will be taken on April 14 & 15.
April 14th: Room 2, Room 4, and Lower EL
April 15th: Room 3, Room 6, and Upper EL
Watch Me Work Wednesday – April 16
One of the most exciting events of the year! Primary and Elementary students will be showcasing three works they have mastered throughout the year. They are so eager to share their hard work and accomplishments with you!
Earth Day – April 22
We’ll be celebrating our beautiful planet in meaningful ways—stay tuned for details on how our students will take action to care for the Earth.
Parent-Teacher Conferences – April 24 & 25
School will be closed on these days for conferences. Sign-up sheets for time slots are available in your child’s classroom. Childcare will be provided during your conference time only.
Spring Weather & School Uniform Reminder
With the arrival of warmer temperatures, we know students’ wardrobes are changing! Please remember to follow our school uniform guidelines to ensure consistency and comfort for all students. If you have any questions about uniform expectations, feel free to check our handbook or reach out to the office.
Classroom Highlight: Care of Self & Environment
This week, we are shining a spotlight on Care of Self & Environment—a fundamental part of our classrooms. From tidying up their spaces to practicing self-care routines, students engage in activities that foster independence, confidence, and responsibility. It’s amazing to see them take pride in their environment and daily tasks!
Thank you for being part of our wonderful school community. Wishing you a fantastic weekend!
Warmly,
Leanna Stevens
