A Note from Our Principal
As the holiday season approaches, we’re excited to celebrate community, diversity, and the joy of giving. Our students will explore various holiday traditions from around the world through hands-on activities, music, art, and more. We believe in creating a nurturing environment that honors the unique traditions of each family, and we look forward to sharing these experiences with your children. Be sure to stay tuned for more details via Transparent Classrooms. Together, let’s make this holiday season a time of warmth, connection, and shared memories. Thank you for allowing us to teach and care for your children!
Sincerely,
Megan Thomas
Holiday Giving
Our annual Kids Helping Communities campaign is underway! This is an opportunity for students to spread cheer while developing an appreciation for what they have, showing gratitude towards others and seeing the positive impact of their actions on the community. We are collecting diapers and wipes for the Idaho Diaper Bank now through December 17. The donation table is located in the lobby. Thank you in advance for your partnership and generosity!
Holiday/Winter Celebrations
Pre-Mont and Primary
As we prepare for winter break, we invite you into your child’s classroom for a holiday program. Our students have been learning songs to perform on December 20th. The performance schedule is as follows:
- 9:15-9:30 Room 4
- 9:35-9:50 Room 3
- 9:55-10:10 Room 6
- 10:15-10:30 Room 2
Families are welcome to stay and socialize with refreshments in room 5 after the performances.
Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary will have their annual winter solstice celebration on December 20 starting at 8:30. We will be reading stories, sharing a snack, and creating crafts. December 19 will be our spirit day with PJs & Hot Cocoa.
Join Us for Winter Gap Camp!
We still have several spaces available in Winter Gap Camp. Available camp days are December 23, 26, 27 and 30. We offer flexible drop-off and pick-up times between the hours of 8:00 am – 4:00 pm. See our admin team to learn more.
Family Referral Bonus
Do you have a newly relocated friend in need of childcare, a family member who is seeking a new preschool for their child or a colleague looking for a different learning environment for their elementary student? Invite them to call our front office and schedule a campus tour. When you refer a friend and they enroll, you’re eligible for a free week of tuition. Ask us for details!
Visits to our Sister Campus!
Upper Elementary will continue their monthly field trips to our Meridian campus. December’s Book Buddy visit will be on the tenth. This community outreach offers a chance to connect to our Montessori Academy community and provides our elementary students with an opportunity to lead and mentor younger students.
Save the Date!
On Saturday, January 25 we will be hosting an open house for prospective families. If you have friends or family who are interested in learning more about the Montessori method, please invite them to join us from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm for tour.
