A Note From Our Principal
April was a busy month! We had such a wonderful time celebrating Earth Day this year! Our students learned all about the lifecycle of ladybugs and ways to keep the Earth clean. Our local news channel even came out to report on the children’s celebration. If you haven’t had a chance to see it, follow this link to watch. As we move into May, we are looking forward to celebrating our teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week and Mother’s for Mother’s Day.

Teacher Appreciation Week
Please join us in celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week (May 2-6). Our enthusiastic and caring teachers make learning fun every day for our students. The teachers have already started having fun with the game challenges from this week’s “Survivor” themed activities. Here are ways you can contribute to the fun.
Monday: Donate prizes or snacks for teachers to receive throughout the week.
Tuesday: Make something for your teacher.
Wednesday: Notes of gratitude.
Thursday: Fill Teacher’s gift bags.
Friday: Teacher luncheon provided by Spring Education Group & gift bags presented.
2022 Kindergarten Students
Save the date; we will celebrating our graduating 2022 Kindergarten students on June 23 from 10am-12pm. This celebration is limited to immediate family members only. We will have the event outside on the back patio. Look for more information to post as the event draws near.
This month look for the kindergarten students’ pop-up shop in our lobby. We are talking about community service and the kindergarten students will choose a local charity to donate towards. Students will be making dog treats, packaging and selling to all families in the lobby. In preparation, we are asking they bring in a picture of their pet to share with the school! We look forward to their announcement which charity they decide to contribute towards in May.
On May 11th the kindergarten field trip to Bird’s of Prey will depart at 9:50 from Montessori Academy. We will return by 12:00. Field trip waivers will go out prior.
Yearbook Pre-Sale
We are opening up the early pre-order for our 2021-2022 yearbook! Order forms will be available at the office starting in May and will be billed through school accounts. The early order rate is available for orders received from May 5- May 20th at $30/per book. Any orders received after May 20th will sell at $40/per book until supplies last.

Cubby Refresh
Our students love spending time outdoors and we want to make sure we take ample advantage of the nice weather. Please make sure to refresh the spare clothing in your child’s cubby. Take home anything that no longer fits and leave a spare set of well-fitting, weather-appropriate clothes.
If you are looking for your child’s missing items, please know there is a school lost and found located in the front lobby. Feel free to open it up anytime to check for your child’s missing items. Don’t forget to label your child’s clothes.

* Lifetouch photography has reported technical issues with uploading images to your child’s online ordering portal. They predict the issue to be resolved before the 6th, however if this is causing your order delays please ask the office for a free shipping code for orders placed after the 6th.
