A Note From Our Principal,
Summer is here and we are looking forward towards a great time teaching and learning with our students! This month campers are jumping into action, playing games, exploring nature, being creative, and participating in other fun summer-themed activities. We can’t wait to see what the rest of the summer holds.
Sincerely, Lila Afoa
In House Field Trips
Our in house field trips are back! This summer we are planning 1-2 special activities per week along with some spirit dress up days. Please watch for upcoming events in the weekly update, online calendar as well as our posted summer board at the front of school. Days marked as “Water Play” do require some extra planning as we require students to arrive to school with their swimsuits on under their clothing, water safe closed toe shoes, extra dry clothes and a small towel. This month we are excited to welcome back Paul Mitchell hair design, Kona Ice truck and Idaho’s own Corbin Maxey- Animal Expert!
Our elementary campers will be going off campus once a week for some additional field trips. This month the EL campers are exploring some of our local parks. They will be cleaning up the green belt, participating in a basketball clinic and splashing on the splash pad this month.
Summer Camp Reminders
Sun safety. All campers should arrive at school with sunscreen already applied. If you are signed up for after care (3-6pm pick up) please be sure to sign the sunscreen waiver located in the school foyer. Second applications will be applied only to the after care students.
Remember that any changes to your summer camp schedule need to be in writing, to Miss Sarah and must be submitted 2 weeks prior.
Checking your student in and out: please make sure to stop by the IPAD to check your student in or out when you are in the building. We invite parents only for this job, as we want to ensure efficiency. If you are having trouble with your codes, or need a refresher on what your codes are, please reach out to Jamie at firstname.lastname@example.org
