A Note From Our Principal,

Summer has come to an end and another school year is upon us. We’d like to extend a warm welcome to our new families, and a sincere thank you to returning families and those that chose to spend their summer with us. We enjoyed making memories with your children and are looking forward to spending the fall season together. Please review the reminders below carefully so we can make the most of our time together over the next few months. As always, our administrative team is here to answer any questions you may have.

School Parking Lot Reminder

Safety first! Our school parking lot can be a very busy place that is shared by multiple local businesses and residents. With our new safety and health procedures in place, now more than ever we are asking all to PLEASE DRIVE SLOW and use added caution. Children should always have an adult with them in the parking lot.

If your family has any questions about your child’s drop off and pick up schedule, contact the office directly.

Holiday Closures

Our school does not follow the Boise public school district in school schedule as we are open more days per year. For the 2020-2021 school year the holiday closures that we observe are listed below. For a complete school year calendar showing school closures, please download our 20-21 school calendar form that is always available on our website.

Labor Day – 9/7/2020
Parent Teacher Conferences – 10/22-23/2020; 4/22-23/2021
Veteran’s Day – 11/11/2020
Thanksgiving Break – 11/25-27/2020

Teacher In-Service – 2/12/2021; 7/1-2/2021; 8/25-31/2021

*These breaks may have Gap Camps available during closure. Gap camp days are indicated on the downloadable school calendar and are $47 per day. Registration for these camps will become available the month prior.

Fall Events

School Spirit Dress-Up Day: Each month we choose one day to show our school spirit by dressing up! On September 18th we encourage all our students to wear their favorite color to school!

Free Speech & Language Screening: On Saturday, Sept. 19th, Speech Tree Pediatric & Adult Speech Therapy is hosting a free speech and language screening for our students. The event will be by appointment only and hosted in William’s Park. Parents are welcome to observe the screenings and all are asked to please wear masks during screening. Fall Class/Student Pictures Canceled: We have canceled our Lifetouch student pictures previously scheduled for September. We will keep re-evaluating current safety standards throughout the school year to see if we reschedule fall/spring photographing.

Virtual School House

October 7th will begin our virtual school house classroom. The director of this program is Miss Ayanthi. Miss Ayanthi will be working with all of our Montessori online learners to ensure a quality program. More information about this classroom is available in the front office.
