SCHOOL CLOSED for Thanksgiving

Thursday, November 26th

Friday, November 27th

From the Principals Office:

As we look into this month we are reminded of the 160 reasons why we are thankful this year; our students and their families!   Thank you for partnering with us in making this a great place for our children!   For those of you that made time to talk to your teacher during conferences, thank you!   We truly see the difference when what we are doing at school and home is consistent!

A few things happening at Parkcenter this month:

Food Drive:  This month we will be gathering foods to donate to the Idaho Foodbank.   Bring in your non-perishable foods to donate to your classroom by November 20th and we will make sure the foods get to Idaho Food Bank before Thanksgiving!

Scholastic Book Orders:   Please take a moment and look at our scholastic book club papers.   When you order books for your children, your children’s teacher can order free books for the classroom.   You can pick up the scholastic order forms up front or order online.   Just use the school code: GXLZ9

Holiday Shopping Party:  DECEMBER 4th :  EVENT CANCELED

Volunteers Needed

The Parent/Teacher organization met for the first time this school year.   There are a bunch of new families and faces in the BMPTO this year and a lot of great energy to enhance the Montessori experience at both our schools.  We’d love to have more Parkcenter participation at the board level, so please come!

Parkcenter will be hosting a Volunteer meeting for anyone interested in volunteering for some of these great events and/or bringing a new event to our school community!    Be on the lookout for more information regarding the BMPTO schedule.

Parkcenter Librarian:   We need a few good men/and women who are able to comit to coming in and helping us keep the library organized each week.   This can be a shared shift and we are willing to train.

Holiday Date Night Shop Keeper – See information on the upcoming Holiday Date Night

Holiday Date Night Shopper—EVENT CANCELED

Book Fair /Art Fair Volunteer—Parents interested in helping cashier during scheduled time slots during these events.   Art Fair will be one  week in February; dates still to be determined for the Book Fair.

Yearbook Committee—This was a wonderful fundraiser from last year that we’d like to continue, but only if we have volunteers to help us going!

Sign makers—Don’t worry, we aren’t looking for sign spinners!   We’ll supply the art supplies and details of upcoming events if you can help us create a marketing sign for the lobby.

Teacher Appreciation Committee – If you love your teacher and can channel your inner Martha Stewart or Pintrest page, this may be the role for you!    Every spring we dedicate a week to doting on our teachers.   If you’d like to be a part of steering this years Teacher Appreciation Week, we’d love to have your input!
