A Note From Our Principal
Summer is in full swing, and we are soaking up all the seasonal fun! From spending time outdoors and having fun with water to playing games with friends and participating in new learning experiences, we’re creating a summer to remember! We can’t wait to see what the rest of summer holds for us.
With all of the summer fun happening, please make sure your child is prepared each day. Please provide additional clothing to be stored in their cubby. Also please consider water shoes for outdoor play as we will be doing daily water table play. Sunscreen is available in the lobby to apply each morning and we will reapply sunscreen if your child is scheduled for after care. Our daily routine of work time, lunch, recess and rest will remain similar to that of the school year. Please pack rest items to store in class during the week and take home for laundering on Fridays.
This month we will have four main units of study:
- Physics of Water (July 1-5)
- Under the Sea (July 8-12)
- World Landmarks (July 15-19)
- Architecture (July 22-26)
Let’s have the best July!
Miss Jamie
Kids Helping Communities
Every summer, we participate in our Kids Helping Communities initiative to give back to communities in need. This year we will be collecting a variety of items that will be donated to St. Luke’s Children’s hospital. More information will be available during the week of July 8th.
Water Days!
Water days are so much fun! Please continue to send your child to school with their swimsuit on and pack a change of clothes and a towel. Sunscreen should be applied before drop-off. For the safety of our students, we ask that they always wear closed-toe shoes. Thank you for your partnership in creating a safe summer!
