January 2021 Newsletter – Montessori Academy

A Note From Our Principal

Happy New Year! We can’t wait to spend 2021 with you and your children. Thank you to all who participated in our holiday giving initiative the last two months. We partnered with the Eagle Food Bank and delivered 300 pounds of food in time for Thanksgiving. We additionally supported Book It Forward Idaho and donated 387 new and slightly used books to support literacy in our community. Your generosity is truly appreciated!

We have made it through the first half of our school year, we stand ready to finish out the school year with confidence. I look forward to the challenges of the new term. Build on all our students’ achievements and use our mistakes to build our knowledge. The beginning of a new year is the perfect time to refresh—set personal goals, make meaningful decisions, or find our inner center.

Beginning late this month, and throughout the month of February we are hosting virtual open houses for prospective Pre-kindergarten, Kindergarten, and Elementary families. The deadline to re-enroll or apply for our programs is February 19,2021. It is our desire to share with the community all the amazing things taking place here at Montessori Academy. Please be sure to check our school website and read our weekly updates on a regular basis for up-to-date information regarding re-enrollment, application process, and regular events occurring at school.

It is our desire that the second half of the school year be excellent for everyone. If you need to meet with any member of our team or myself, do not hesitate to contact us. Every step we take in this journey we will do together to make our community stronger, wiser, and better for our students.

Winter Clothing Reminder

If you’ve not already done so, please send in an extra set of weather appropriate clothes for your child. Students also need to come to school each day with a jacket and dressed warmly enough to play outside for part of the day. We want everyone to be able to participate!

Links 2 Home (Tadpoles)

If you’re not currently receiving photos and daily reports for your child you can easily change this by downloading the Links 2 Home app on your phone. Just type ‘Links 2 Home’ in the search bar for the Apple App Store or Google Play Store. After downloading Links 2 Home you can register with the same email address that you used to enroll your child in our school.

Online Parent Communication

In addition to our newsletter the ‘For Parents’ section of our website also includes links to our monthly calendar and school year calendar. We update these items frequently to ensure you’re always in the know. Though we send information through Links 2 Home/Tadpoles, our calendar can be printed or even downloaded directly to your device. Our school year calendar can be printed or saved for easy reference as well.
