Fundraising at Montessori Academy
Our school participates in a variety of fundraising events throughout the year. Please know that participation in any fundraising event is 100% voluntarily. In October look for a few catalogs that we will be sending home with your child.
For Small Hands: This year our school will be participating in the For Small Hands School Credit Promotion. This program allows our school to earn credit to use to purchase classroom materials to enhance your child’s learning experience. The For Small Hands catalog is filled with hundreds of age-appropriate, child-size items that encourage independence creativity, and problem-solving. This is a wonderful opportunity to purchase unique and educational holiday gifts for the children in your life.
Scholastic Book Club: Scholastic Book Clubs has served schools and families since 1948 by providing affordable, just-right books for kids that are carefully selected by teachers and reading experts. Book Clubs supports teachers with FREE Books and resources for the classroom, while helping children discover the pleasure and power of reading each month through choosing and owning their own books. To participate, you can order online or turn in your order forms to the school no later than 15th. Be sure to use our SCHOOL ORDER CODE: GXLZ9
School Closed – Parent/Teacher Conferences
October 22-23 school will be closed. This year we will be hosting parent teacher conferences via zoom meetings. Your teacher will be sending out a virtual sign up with available conference meeting times and login information by October 9th. We look forward to 100% participation this year!
October Events
October 26-30 our classrooms will have students decorating pumpkins. Students wanting to participate will paint/carve or decorate a pumpkin to enter into our pumpkin parade! The pumpkins will be on display all week in the Parkcenter Legacy Garden for parents and students to vote for their favorite! There will be a voting box available outside and votes must be in by October 29th. Pumpkins will go home with students on October 30th.
October 30th. Crazy hair day! Show your school spirit by getting extra crazy with your hair style. This is always a beloved dress up day by teachers and students alike, so don’t be shy! We do ask that you save your halloween costumes and candy for home.
