A Note from Our Principal,
Welcome back! Returning to school in January is always filled with renewed energy and resolve to make a positive difference in the lives of all the members of our school community.
Thank you to everyone who was able to join us for our Holiday Concerts and Winter STEM parties in December, and to the staff and students for putting on such great events.
We start 2019 with a focus on responsibility. Working with students to help them learn to accept personal responsibility is a critical part of what we do each day. Being responsible means others can depend on you. You are accountable for your actions. When things go wrong and you make a mistake, you make amends instead of excuses. When you are responsible, you keep your agreements. You give your best to any job.
As we begin the New Year it is always a good time to focus once again on our personal goals and to adjust and fine tune the steps we must take to achieve them. I encourage parents to sit down with their child(ren) and discuss their performance, celebrate the successes and develop goals and next steps.
Finally, I wish everyone a very Happy New Year and I look forward to witnessing the many successes and achievements of our students as the year unfolds.
Inclement Weather Policy
While we have been blessed with mild winter weather to date, it is possible in January to be facing snowy and icy conditions. The decision to close school is a process which is not taken lightly by the administration. As storms approach, administrative staff monitor weather forecasts in preparation to check road conditions during the night and into the early morning before the start of school. If school is cancelled because of poor road conditions, information about the closure will be posted on the schools website, tadpole notification will be sent, and local media will also be notified (Channel 7 KTVB).
School Wide Community Service Initiatives for January
With the season of celebration and giving, continue our WCA pajama drive! Thanks for those who already have donated! Those that still want to participate have time!
PAJAMAS!!! We are collecting children’s pajamas for all ages January 7-15th. They will be given to the WCA to support those families residing in their facility. A collection bin is available in the lobby.

BMPTO Meeting: As the New Year begins, the teachers and current PTO members are seeking assistance with our PTO efforts. We are seeking people to be involved in our Scholarship Committee, our Spring Social event, and more. School Administrators will be hosting BMPTO meeting in January to share what the PTO offers our school and how you can support. You do not need to be a BMPTO board member to participate and share your voice. We will host a noon meeting and a 5:00 PM meeting on January 28th (Monday). It will be posted on the PTO whiteboard in the lobby and we will send a reminder text.
Elementary Music Night
Join us on January 24 at 6 pm-7 pm for Beatles Night! Let our students take you on a musical journey of the Beatles and show off skills they have been working on in music class.
