Week 5: Color Me Happy
This week our summer campers will focus on exploring different art mediums. The children will have the opportunity to work with paint, clay, and other ways to create and color! Our Elementary group will be working on our pottery wheels this week so we do ask that you bring your child in clothing that you don’t mind “getting dirty” this week. In addition the Elementary Camp will be taking an off campus field trip to the Boise Creative Center on Thursday.
In addition, Challenger Soccer Camp is hosting their week long camp this week. This Specialty Camp will be held at Parkcenter; outdoors. If registered please dress accordingly.
Week 6: What’s Beyond the Moon?
In the workshop this week we have our Move Like an Astronaut workout. The children will be doing large motor and small motor circuit training to work their muscles like Astronauts. At the end of the week we will all celebrate with a moon jump during recess time! In addition the BSU center will be coming to teach the children about the upcoming solar eclipse. Our Elementary group will be traveling off campus for a special tour of Fire Station #3! An all school WATER PLAY DAY on TUESDAY; don’t forget your water wear.
Week 7: Fossil Find
This week the Pre-school aged campers will be making fossils, learning about dinosaurs and cracking open some Geodes! We have a special guest from the BSU Geology department coming in to present and work with the children. At the end of the week Kona Ice truck will be here to share some shaved ice with the children. Our Elementary group will be cooking up some tasty treats this week as it is “Chef Week” in room 3. Elementary students will walk to Blue Cow for some frozen yogurt on Thursday.
In addition, Dance Connection will be hosting their Dance Camp this week. This Specialty Camp will be held in Room #4. Dance clothes welcome but not required.
Week 8: On the Boardwalk
Boise happens to be in the line of totality during Monday, August 21st Solar Eclipse. Our campers are excited (and equipped with ISO certified safety glasses) to participate in this historical event. An all school WATER PLAY DAY is scheduled for WEDNESDAY, so don’t forget your water wear. This week the children will be designing boats for an all school boat race. We’ll celebrate the end of summer on Aloha Friday with the Hawaiian at Heart Hula Dance performance!
In addition, Miss Emily will be hosting a Kindergarten Readiness Camp this week. This Specialty Camp will be held in Room #4. Registration is still available.
